For Barton Park County Park: This place was impressive For a county park. Lots of sites, activities and amenities. As previous discussions point out the East Loop is for Rvs with the West Loop mostly for trailers and tents. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Playgrounds for the kids. Trail and river access. Attentive campground hosts. Close to Portland, 25 minute drive. Convenience store just outside entrance with ice, gas and propane. Biggest downside is the gate closure from 10PM to 6AM, no cars in or out. Other drawbacks include sites on the grassy lawn are tightly packed together offering no privacy, reservation costs are pricey at $34 plus $10 reservation fee and an additional $10 fee if you need to make changes. Try to use the finicky online reservation site. The one person to call is swamped and will have a hard time returning your call. Overall a good place to stay if you wanna be close to Portland.

Miles

For Barton Park County Park: The west side of the west side is nice and grassy for RVs say 25’ or less. Everything has power and water even the undeveloped looking tent site. The east side is the RV camping. The pull through a are best for privacy. The remaining back in sites were designed by someone clueless on camping especially with RVs. The picnic table and fire pit are placed at the end of the rig there placing your driver side neighbors awning right at your table. Then end ones are ok. Also the handicapped are designed properly. Ridiculous

For Barton Park County Park: We stayed in Barton East in a pull through lot with out 19 ft campervan. Very level lot, clean and well maintained. Bathrooms nice and clean and very quiet. Good privacy on pull through lots. Would stay again. Close to Portland OR.

Dean

For Barton Park County Park: We stayed in the East campground, which is meant for RV's with 50A & water hookups. The West campground is for RV's (30A) and tents. The dump station is out on the road right next to the campground. The sites are nice and big, and mostly level. The bath-house is reasonable and clean, if a bit dingy. Cell signal is pretty good on both AT&T and Verizon. It's not really close to anything, and if you want to go to Portland, you can take the trolley to and from Clackamas Town Center Park-n-Ride - about a 15 minute drive from the campground.

Tj

For Barton Park County Park: If you’re in an RV go to Barton East. Its all RV spots with hook ups. The pads are level asphalt. They have hook ups and clean bathrooms. Sites are pretty good size too. There is a brewery on the opposite side of the river.

Rick

For Barton Park County Park: Very nice park, very nice volunteer hosts. As Don said, there are two areas, RVs-only and RVs/tents. We were in the tents area (west area) and had tenters right up against us; not a problem but not our accustomed level of privacy. This could be a 5-star location except that even with our 11ft-6in height, we were hitting tree limbs. (Volunteers acknowledged this, but hadn’t been able to get the park to trim.)

Dan

For Barton Park County Park: Stayed here twice. Make sure you get a site where only RVs can be. Both places were nice but I would choose that over the two. Friendly hosts. Downside the gate closes at 10pm every night.
