Storm

For Page Springs Campground: Really pretty campground with quite large sites. Stayed on a Saturday night in April 2024. It was FCFS and probably ended the day about 3/4 full. Sites are level. It is several miles of gravel road to get there, and there are no other camping areas very close, but if you can't get in there is an RV park about 40 miles north. There is drinking water, but only pit toilets. The area is known for birding (Malheur Wildlife Refuge), so be sure to go through there. There is a nice trail along the river from the campground which you can use even if not camping there.

Britgal

For Page Springs Campground: Seems like a nice place but it was full when we got there (Tuesday late fall). Very bumpy gravel road going in. Wish they had put the full sign out at the main road 🙄

Coastalcamper

For Page Springs Campground: One of the nicest BLM campgrounds we've stayed at. Both open and shady sites, most far apart, some close to each other if camping with others. New concrete tables and fire pits. New pit toilets and water. On the Blitzen River, catch and release redside trout. Good hiking and great bird watching. Take the Steen Mountain loop road to the top of the 10,000 ft. Mountain for great views. Hiking options too. Very nice campground in the middle of nowhere, quiet, great star gazing.

RVJohnny

For Page Springs Campground: A very pretty campground. Sites are widely spaced, grassy, and among trees. Lots of songbirds. It is idyllic if you can live without electricity for a night or two. Beautiful Blitzen River rolls by. However, be warned that the mosquitoes can be really BAD here throughout the spring and early summer. The Malheur Refuge is after all an enormous marsh, a prime breeding ground for mosquitoes, and they seem to thrive in this campground by the river.

FaniB

For Page Springs Campground: Nice place! We situated our 24 foot travel trailer in site 12, right above the Donner und Blitzen River. Sites are far apart, with a mix of trees, and some open areas, which we usually choose, so our solar will charge. There's water, nice new looking fire pits, large cement tables, a vault toilet, newer style, very clean and well stocked.
Looking forward to exploring the Malheur Wildlife Refuge for the next 3 days. The road in is about 3 miles of gravel, but smooth, no washboarding. Recommended!

Lyman
