Kathy

For Rocky Point Resort: We stayed at a partial hook-up site right next to the boat launch. The location was right on the canoe trail so we launched right from our site and had many miles of calm paddling with lots of wildlife. We saw a raccoon swimming, beavers carrying shrubbery through the water, herons, egrets, geese, grebes, redwing blackbirds and even a bald eagle. When we arrived, we were greeted by Chris. He was always so friendly and helpful with a smile. This resort is lucky to have him. Thank you Chris for helping to make our stay so perfect! We did not go into the restrooms, since we had our own to use. We were in site 20.

For Rocky Point Resort: Very rustic and remote. Our site was adequate but had unfortunate view of trash area- boxes strewn about which was not too great to see everyday. This park may had it’s better days. Beware of mosquitoes- plenty here. The laundry room was tiny with a broken washer. We walked on one of the piers and caked with bird poop. We wanted to like it here but didn’t work out so well. The gentleman who helped us into our site was such a great help and had great info to share. Hope more time and money will be invested in this park- it would help to make it more enjoyable.

Randy

For Rocky Point Resort: I would agree with the description as being more rustic than resort, and geared more towards the fishing crowd, but that is OK. We had just spent two nights in the Crater Lake campground (Masama Village) without hookups, and limited hot water in the pay showers, and the dump station was out of order there. So, this campground with full hookups, a clean bath house with free showers and plenty of hot water, and laundry facilities, was a welcome delight. Many of these sites are right on the lake. The small bait and tackle shop even rents a variety of boats, and the small, onsite restaurant is a plus! We only spent one night in a truck camper, but would not hesitate to return.

Mike

For Rocky Point Resort: This is billed as a resort, but fish camp would be a better description. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing, but one should expect more of a rustic experience than "resort" would conjure. RV spots are commingled with tent sites, so expect lots of wood smoke. Restaurant is good; try the barley wine (comes by the bottle)

Janie

For Rocky Point Resort: Perfect for those who like it simple and love birds more than people. Sites are limited and could feel too cozy when full.
