Meg

For South Beach State Park: Loved this park! We spent a week here and had a fantastic time. Contrary to other reviewers, we had no issues with bugs and felt that our site was plenty spacious! My son loved the big playground and I loved that, while there aren’t quite as many as I’d like, there were enough trees that I could hang my hammock and relax. I didn’t take advantage of it, but there is also a nice little welcome center with coffee and firewood! We’ll definitely be back.

For South Beach State Park: Pass up this park. Keep driving. Bitting bugs. Close sites.

For South Beach State Park: Gorgeous beach! Sites are pretty small, but still fairly "private". Lots of mosquito's. Nice showers.

For South Beach State Park: No hot water in bathhouses, ever. Crowded, dark, bugs. Our site in a mud bog. One dump station and it smelled awful. One dumpster. Beach is gorgeous. Won't ever go back.

For South Beach State Park: We stopped here while visiting the Oregon coast and planned to stay 2 nights, but left after 1. Very crowded, busy roads, our site was right by the bath house so lots of foot traffic too. There are some very nice sites that back to vegetation, but not ours. The best part was the beach. There are 1/4 mile, 1/3 mile and 1/2 mile walkways to the beach. The ranger told me as long as our dogs were in control they could run free on the beach. They loved it!

For South Beach State Park: This State Park feels more like commercial resort - sites are close to each other, less privacy, etc. The most annoying thing - for a mile long campground there's only one dumpster at entrance. Also they have "hospitality center", but we were unlucky and could't get any information about area, as mostly volunteers play a role of cashiers for yourts rentals there. T-mobile has 1-2 bars LTE and Verizon has 5 bars.

Pukadog

For South Beach State Park: We love coming to South Beach State Park. We usually always stay when we are camping in OR. Lots of campsites but it does not feel crowded. Lots of great trails to the beach and you can ride or walk all the way back into town. It's a great state park. We will be heading there again to camp this year for our 3rd time as we spend three weeks camping for our vacation.
