For Oak Plantation Campground: Would really give this a 3.5 stars if I could. It's a big facility and the sights are fine. The speed bumps are a bit overkill! The bathhouse smelled bad. It appeared to be pretty clean but shower facilities are dated and small. Laundry facilities are small. 4 washers but only 2 dryers and no place to fold. Staff was nice.

For Oak Plantation Campground: This park is well kept and has the most trash cans I've ever seen in a campground. I opted for a electric and water site which was grass, not gravel or concrete. The wifi was strong and the cable television worked just fine. The shower house was a bit dated but good enough. Verizon was five dot LTE which is a rarity. The road noise from Hwy 17 calmed down after 9:30 pm. The Charleston Visitors Center has RV parking so a 20 minute drive from here is convenient. I would stay again without hesitation.

LJGuitar

For Oak Plantation Campground: Bathrooms were clean, not crowded, friendly hosts, and good wifi and cable.

They have speed bumps about every 30 yards, so the speed limit for the park is self-regulatory! We just laughed about it. Easy to find, easy to enjoy - they put us under the trees with a wifi repeater adjacent to the site, so we really enjoyed our site seeing during the day, and staying in touch with friends at night.

We went on a Riverboat Gospel Cruise, a historical district 2 hour walk downtown, and ate at the Tattooed Moose (awesome place to eat!!!)

We'd definitely recommend this place to stay. Very accessible to town.

Janet E

For Oak Plantation Campground: We stayed there 2 nights 7/19 & 7/20. Beautiful park, clean, well kept and nice level spots. There was a power outage affecting the entire park the second night we were there. Management was great trying to get the problem solved and keeping everyone informed of the situation. We will definitely stay again when we are back in the area. It is a little pricey.
