For Joint Base Charleston Campground: I had a wonderful stay. The staff at the MWR facility were amazing. The bathrooms are very clean and well equipped. I will definitely be coming back.

For Joint Base Charleston Campground: Friendly staff, helpful. Clean, quiet, bathhouse is clean, washer and dryer available We have a campervan so they let us park on the tent site with water and electricity. The campground sites were full. Dump station is available.

For Joint Base Charleston Campground: Nice place to stay while visiting Charleston. A little inconvenient for us in a 30’ Class C and no TOAD (we’re still new and will remedy that soon), but we were able to drive thru the old town and park at the waterfront on Sunday morning without problem. Fried chicken at Magnolias is excellent. Jet noise and pops from firing range aren’t all that annoying; it is, after all, a military installation. $23 per night for a full hookup pull thru is a pretty good deal.

For Joint Base Charleston Campground: We are so glad they opened this park up. We were hoping to be able to stay on base our first week with our new RV. Great location, super friendly staff. The only thing that would have made it an even better stay would be that the bathhouse and laundry were open. Especially the laundry. We enjoyed our 10 day stay, aside from the mosquitoes, air traffic and nearby shooting range, it's a lovely rv park. It's great being so close to the commissary and we really enjoyed meeting other veterans/RVers. If you can request your site, ask to be on the circle in the woods. Really nice sites. Site 22 was nice, but gets large puddles when it rains, others around us were even worse. You don't need to bring your big rig through the front gates, use the directions giving to route you through the back gate which is much closer to the RV park. We camped at JB Charleston RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Rick

For Joint Base Charleston Campground: Great place as long as you don’t mind a shooting range and big loud jets. And reveille and taps. And it’s a base and you should be military so. Directions are almost right. Take exit 211 A or B depending on your direction on I26. Head towards the base/airport on Avaition Ave and turn right on South Aviation Ave which will take you into the base. You don’t drive thru the security screen on right. Just the regular gate. Signs are a bit confusing.

For Joint Base Charleston Campground: X-ray not required for rv’ers! Right lane entrance at gate for commercial vehicles only. Sign directing rv vehicles to X-ray has not been changed and can be ignored. Our first time here and did not know this. The security guard told us it is no longer required. Beautiful site and grounds. We did not use any of the public facilities..

Warren

For Joint Base Charleston Campground: Witnessed camp host cutting grass and cleaning campsite prior to arrival of camper, you don't see that in the high dollar camps!
Streets are paved, sites are concrete pads with good space between. Very nice picnic tables. Power poles are easy to use, modern, and lighted. Bath house is clean and well kept. Hosts take their job very seriously and are easy to get hold of.
With so much to do on the base it's hard to fit in time to actually sight see in Charleston. It's a terrific value.
