For Andrew Jackson State Park: 18ft Tab 400 fit nicely in inner loop, but hsted that all the inner loop sites had the table, bear bag hang, and firepit on the same sude as water, electricity , and sewer. Paved site was slightly sloped, but the angle was still a bit challenging to back into. The lake was very foamy, and looked pretty gross. It’s for fishing only, so that was disappointing … but they were treating it to do something about the foam…I wouldn’t eat anything from there. They dis have a small boat launch for kayaks & canoes. The museum was neat. The rangers were in the area pretty frequently and were nice. Bathroom shower pressure wasn’t awesome, and had some weird insects growing in the showers. I won’t come back.

For Andrew Jackson State Park: It’s a picturesque but very small campground. As mentioned in previous reviews, it can be very challenging for large RV’s. The campsite is more appropriate for smaller towed campers and tents. The inner sites in the circle have the picnic tables and fire pits on the same side as the hookups, making them impractical. If you have a dog, there is very little open grass and those sparse areas are littered with a large amount of goose droppings. The location is very convenient to Charlotte and the small town of Waxhaw, NC is quaint. The historical sites at the park are interesting and worth a visit.

For Andrew Jackson State Park: Nice campground We’ve stayed here before. Bathrooms older but clean. Several sites VERY sloped. We were on site 15 which is on the inside. Tight for people going around road on corner. We couldn’t put our awning out all the way or they would have hit it. Paved sites.

For Andrew Jackson State Park: First time staying and it really is a beautiful park with the lake, walking trails and the layout of the campground. If you have a large rig it can be a bit challenging getting into some of the spots so practice up your backing skills! The camp host was “johnny on the spot” though and was right there to help everyone out in getting situated. As stated before the bathrooms really could use some work ergo only 4 stars. I happily recommend to anyone considering a stay.
