LA Allen

For Apache Family Campground: Very clean and well maintained pool and splash pad area. Beach was fantastic. Pier was beautiful. Sites are close but we didn’t have an issue getting our 35ft TT in or out. Trash service picks up trash every night. WiFi was good had great Verizon service. There were A LOT of long term campers. Everyone was very friendly!! I docked them a star because we were told we would get a site in the 50s, which is the first 5 sites closest to the beach. We ended up in 112, which is second from last. We were still 10 sites from beach so it worked out. Never went to bath house.

Big Rich

For Apache Family Campground: We stayed 4 days here in July 2019. Pretty typical for Myrtle Beach campground directly on the beach. The location is good. Since there is no interstate highway to Myrtle Beach, the traffic can be a nightmare at times. This park is located on the quieter north end and is accessed via the Hwy 22 bypass. This avoids the worst of the traffic. The campground has a 1200 foot fishing pier. You get free passes (otherwise $2 to walk, more if you want to fish). They rent fishing gear if you are interested. They have nightly entertainment that costs extra. Your free pass is only good until 6:30pm. The sites are close together. This it typical for beach camping in this area. We had a back in site, number 93. It could handle a 40 ft unit max. It was unusually wide. It fit our MH with a street side slide, a deployed awning and then our toad- all side by side Roads are narrow. Some people with a long travel trailer had a real struggle getting into some of the spaces since there wasn’t much room to maneuver. Site 93 is about 40 yards from the dunes on the beach. Water pressure is a little low. Electricity was good. Cable was mostly clear and had 60 channels. The site was close to level. They have one outdoor pool and a shallow kiddie pool. They also have basketball courts and cornhole. They allow golf carts (you can rent one). There is a very large area of permanent trailers. Many of these are available to rent. There is a Walmart, Bass Pro Shops and a Tanger outlet just up the road. “Restaurant Row” is a couple of minutes away. This campground is a little cheaper than Myrtle Beach Travel Park just up the street and it shows in the amenities. Overall we had a good stay and will keep this place as a backup to our first choice up the street.

Rick

For Apache Family Campground: Gonna try a comparison here, between Apache and the park nearby, Myrtle Beach Travel Park (not to be confused with Myrtle Beach
RV Park to the north a ways): Both parks are reasonably nice, large, have amenities such as a store, laundromat, pool. MB Travel costs
5-10% more, I estimate. Difference in presentation, grooming, etc.? MB Travel is slightly more ready for company?? I found both clean
and neat, but Apache a little more relaxed?. Both parks have a LOT of permanent; MB Travel seems to have more overnight. Both are
right on the beach. Apache has a pier. We stayed three nights at Apache, then two more. Toured MB Travel and would stay there, too.
(Our friend had actually recommended MB Travel, having stayed there often over the years.)

Rose

For Apache Family Campground: Updated review, the second site was quiet, the manager came & offered an apology & a credit for one night, it was appreciated after our bad night.

The campground has a very nice fishing pier, all was good the last 2 days, (except the dog poop around the site).

Xatlatc

For Apache Family Campground: Nothing is particularly great about this place other than having ocean access. I would stay a night or two at the winter rates. Wifi was strong and Verizon was four dot LTE. Cable television worked well.
