For Aiken State Park: Really nice and quiet campsite nestled within a pine forest. The signage throughout is a bit lacking so when entering the park make sure you turn on the street that has the main sign. The camp area is very large and each site is large enough for all your fun. Bath house was very clean but lacked locks on the shower stalls. The roads are all packed sand and some potholes. Otherwise a great place to relax, very quiet!

For Aiken State Park: Stayed in #10 two nights March 12th and 13th. The site required only a little leveling. The road in and out were in bad shape but the area had received a lot of rain recently. When we arrived the dump station and trash area were completely flooded but the water receded the next day. The comfort station was old and not always clean or well supplied. There was no hot water as they were replacing the hot water heater when we were there. The biggest complaint was the road in the camp ground and the campsites was Composed of fine sand which stuck to everything - tires, stabilizers, and anything plastic. It was impossible not to track sand into the camper. We would have given 2-3 star rating except that the place was so quiet and peaceful. In warmer weather there would have been great opportunity to canoe or kayak, fish, and hike. The place appeared to be a birder’s paradise! On the down side, the park looked like a great idea 20-30 years ago but just hasn’t been well maintained. FYI we had no interaction with park hosts but a park ranger did come by to inform us of the hot water situation. On the plus side, the park is only about an hour away from Conagree National Park. We had 1-2 bars T-Mobile.

Beulah

For Aiken State Park: Nice campground nestled in the Pine parkland. All sites have power and water. $25. Brand new picnic tables and fire rings. Neat and tidy bathhouse. 5 star water pressure for showers. We only stayed one night but this park has a lot to offer : hiking trails, canoe rentals for the river, fishing on lakes, group sites and artesian wells. Fill up your water bottles!

For Aiken State Park: We were looking for a place to stay in the general area to break up a long drive. We're self-contained in our 25 foot motor home and don't use the facilities except for an occasional shower. We stayed on a weeknight in mid-may. We arrived late in the day and half the sites were available. This is a pretty, small CG in a tall pine forest. The roads and sites are all packed sand. It had been raining when we arrived with puddles in the roads, however, the sites were well drained. The sites were mostly level with a mix of sun and shade. Tall pines don't provide privacy between sites, however, most of the sites were generously sized and well spaced. We did not meet the CG host. The park ranger was friendly and helpful. There was no ATT cell service and weak, usable Verizon coverage. We camped at Aiken State Park in a Motorhome. The city of Aiken is a 30 minute drive.

For Aiken State Park: Wonderful little quiet campground in a pine forest. Well maintained and host is very helpful and personable. Has some nice trails and a lake. An artesian well is located in the fishing area. Fill up your bottles. The water tastes great! Bathroom and shower is clean.
