For Volunteer Park Family Campground: The staff is amazing . They are extremely helpful and so friendly . We stayed at number 90 pull thru very level and close to the office. We will definitely be back anytime we are in the Knoxville tn area.

LA Allen

For Volunteer Park Family Campground: It was just what we needed stopping for 1 night passing through the area. Very convenient off the highway with an easy in and out Pilot at the same exit. Staff was super friendly. We stayed on site 91 it was full hook up. pulling up i worried about navigating the right trees but they led the way to our site on a golf cart. All the trees were trimmed appropriately so we fit with ease. We are pulling a 35ft TT. Pulled in and out no problem. Perfectly level site. Quiet park. We had absolutely no sound issues on a Friday night. We didn’t use bath house. Pool was closed for season. They had a great little park that is gated and lit so the kids were able to burn some energy after being in the car all day.

Joe Bailey

For Volunteer Park Family Campground: This is a very loud park! Truck traffic was constant plus Ricky Bobby who lives in the park was revving his engine over and over with no muffler! Kids riding a mini bike through the park adding to the noise. The campground is very tight and hilly. I will not be back.

CC

For Volunteer Park Family Campground: Ok if you are passing through for a night. Super friendly staff. Small bath house, lots of live in Campers. Concrete pads are almost level but good. Quiet for the most part, noisy trucks during the day from across the street. Very Poor water/electric sites force you to full hook-ups which are more expensive. Probably would stay again if passing through.

Greg

For Volunteer Park Family Campground: Stayed one night passing through. Nice on the phones. Not gated, we parked next to public street. Cement truck traffic. Clean small bathhouse, very dated.

Don & Pat

For Volunteer Park Family Campground: Stayed at this campground one night while traveling to Raleigh, NC. We liked it just fine. Kinda tight but shady and most sites seemed level. Good Wifi and cable TV. Clean bathroom/shower building. Real nice staff. Good camp store. It was quiet on a Saturday night. We'd stay here again if in the area.

SarahJ

For Volunteer Park Family Campground: We did not end up staying here after calling and making a reservation. The reason was that we have a 40' fifth wheel and the park was just too tight to be comfortable for us to navigate into our site. It was a college football game weekend and the park was full. Full hookup sites are on cement pads but are quite short and all up a hill. The campground is very wooded with lots of close trees on every site. Seemed like a nice place with many long term campers and regular weekenders. I'm sure it would be fine if you had a small to medium size class C or A or a small trailer. But we would have taken off our ladder or scratched up the side and awning even before getting to the site. There were some partial hookup sites that looked a little more feasible but since we wanted full hookups, we went down the road.
