For Bridger Bay - Antelope Island State Park: We read the reviews here and were a little skeptical because of the comments on bugs, but we were so glad that we tried it out. This was the most peaceful place on earth we have ever been and I've been to alot! There are three camping areas and we stayed at Bridger Bay Campground. The site were all pull through and had amazing covered patios with picnic tables, fire pits and an extra table for when you are cooking. They are very spread out so you are not right on your neighbor. The fall is the best time to camp if you are worried about bugs, but make sure to plan enough time to tour the island. We will make this is destination trip for another time.

For Bridger Bay - Antelope Island State Park: Decided to go camping with our 3 dogs. Was only at the campsite for maybe 20 mins tops. As soon as they got out of the car, our dogs were swarmed with bugs that were getting under their fur & biting them. When they started to cry & yip, we decided to skip camping altogether & rushed home to bathe them. Glad we did. They had red welts, big & small, all over them, especially where the fur was thinnest. The girl at the park entrance didnt warn us about the bugs even after she found out we had never been. Don't go here if you're bringing pets.

For Bridger Bay - Antelope Island State Park: No shade, quite windy. Nearby shrubbery smells quite badly when the wind blows from the east! However, the sites are well built and maintained.
