For Anvil Campground: A little pricier than we usually spend but we often spend nights at Cracker B. & Walmart, this is a great place for kids (fun looking playground with zip line) as mentioned before it’s right off the road it’s very close to all the attractions if you didn’t want to drive there there’s a shuttle bus here to take you to Williamsburg, it is between a major road and a train-track, that goes through it’s very close but all in all I will stay here again place was extremely clean and people working here were very helpful and wonderful

For Anvil Campground: Wonderful RV Park!! Yes trains run by the park but they very rarely blown horns and seem to stop overnight. Great central location for visiting the many historic sites. The staff were super helpful and friendly. And some of the cleanest facilities we have seen in awhile. So as you can say it’s a jewel of a small campground

For Anvil Campground: I would give staff 5 stars
Wish I had read reviews. The trains run all night. We are on the road side and with a fan running it was only a little annoying. Small park definitely not a resort. But it is the closest to the sites you are coming to see. So that part might make it worth it? Glad I can sleep easily. Bring ear plugs!

For Anvil Campground: Date of stay 4/17
The staff was very pleasant and helpful.
The grounds and laundry area were very clean . Having said that, we were in spot 73 a " premium " spot . I stepped off 18 paces from the back of our trailer to the road . Traffic noise started at around 6:15 in the morning, very loud even with our fan on high , which usually drowns out all noise. Does die down around 7:00 pm. The trains come by at all hours , the longer ones actually shook our trailer, most are short and fast . We spent 3 nights only because we booked in advance after reading the reviews. All of our neighbors in premium spots had done the same and we all shared the same feelings. The spots were VERY,VERY close !!! Your neighbor's hook ups ( water , power, sewage) were actually in your spot !!! Our neighbor one morning, because of rain, was standing under our awning draining his tanks as we had coffee. Our awning was about 2 1/2 to 3 ft from his slide out .i usually do not write reviews but felt it my duty as an RV'er to call this campground out so others will have an honest opinion. I feel as though there was almost a little deceptive advertising. The campground was conventionally located.

For Anvil Campground: Stayed there for our 1st RV trip it was a very nice clean park with nice remodeled public restrooms and the staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. When we go there again we will definitely stay again. It's central to everything in Williamsburg. The trains came by but not to often and didn't bother us at all. We were very pleased with our stay.
