For Illahee State Park: A large and lovely Washington state park on Port Orchard Bay. Don’t be put off by the proximity to Bremerton and suburbs - it is away from all that. The campground and park are very well maintained. There is a camp host on site and the rangers pass through regularly. Despite previous review there are no “homeless” encampments or others overstaying limits. The roads and site pads are paved and most campsites are spacious . The showers and restrooms were clean. Trails within park verge on moderate due to hills. I only give four stars because I find WA state parks overpriced. $37 walk-in for no electric. Add $8 fork line reservation . Dump station and water available.

For Illahee State Park: Only barely giving this state park one star. Only has one site available with hook ups and that site has a homeless encampment squatting on that site without paying for the site. The RV dump is closed. The state park staff have not been present to enforce the camping rules of a 10 day limit and who is paying for camp sites. This park could get a higher rating if the state park system would do there job.
