For Sequim Bay State Park: A good second choice if you can’t get a spot in either of the two State Parks in Port Townsend (Fort Worden SP, Old Fort Townsend SP) or the Dungeness Spit Clallam County Park. I say that because although this campground is very close to Sequim, I don’t consider Sequim itself an appealing destination (unless you need to visit a Costco, Walmart, Home Depot etc). Port Townsend is appealing for an “upscale small town” experience. The portion of the Olympic National Park near Sequim is also appealing, and can be accessed more easily from the County campground at Dungeness Spit, than from the State campground on Sequim Bay. This campground is also right next to Hwy 101, which is VERY busy, so noisy. Entry to the park requires a Washington Park day use pass or a campground site rental. The RV Dump is well designed and maintained, and provides both rinse water and a separate freshwater spigot. The dump site fee is $5 for all non-campers (even with a State Parks day use pass). Showers require tokens purchased from the campground office (2 tokens for $1). A 3-minute shower costs two tokens.

For Sequim Bay State Park: Just wanted to provide an update to AlaskaExpat. The park is still very nice (Aug 2018). It is also in a great location to take the ferry to Victoria and explore Olympic Park.

For Sequim Bay State Park: The park is fairly nice with access to the beach and boat launch. The beach is fairly limited in size and is pretty small when the tide is in. There are 15 or so sites that have Power, Water and Sewer service. They are pretty tight and you are right next to you neighbors, you are pretty close the the hookups of your neighbors. The other loops do not have utilities and many are pretty tight. The campground has a great paved trail running to Sequim. The showers and restrooms were clean and in good shape. Even with the tight space we will stay here again in the future.

Happy camper

For Sequim Bay State Park: Very nice sites. Well maintained. Only 5 or 6 sites with water views the other sites are back in the trees.

Park closes at 9pm and the close the gate!! You can't leave to make a food/booze/or/firewood run.

Only one shower per bathroom and one bathroom pod per section.
