For Skillet Creek Campground: A very nice campground. Stayed mid August Thursday-Sunday. Stayed in 446 with a 36’ fifth. Fairly level and very spacious grass site. Lots of events and fun things for the kids. Awesome swimming lake and fun games to play and a nice little park area. Game room is pretty good too and had laundry. The showers were really clean and nice also. Location is great, right next to Devils Lake. All the nights were really quiet, even Saturday night after the glow parade, the campground was humming with excitement but quickly became very quiet before 10pm. Super glad we chose this place and would definitely return.

For Skillet Creek Campground: Mike and Cheryl here. We have a 44 foot Class A RV. Here is my review of the campground at Skillet Creek Campground. Getting to the campground was good, but the entrance road is very narrow. There is a wider road next to the entrance, but the sign stating to use it is small and not clear. The roads in the campground are paved and gravel in good condition. The trees are all well trimmed. The campground office was open and everyone was friendly. Camp store is very small. There is a large parking area near the office. No escort to site but was given a map. The road signage to our site was good. Sites have fire pits and they sell firewood. Our site was 545, a back in site with a grass drive and grass patio area, with a picnic table. The site is located under lots of trees that drop leaves and debris. Our site was NOT level. We had to use everyone of our blocks which sank into the dirt. The site was dry. The campground has lots of seasonal folks and many do not look good. The transient sites are nicely spaced. I did not see the bathhouse or laundry. No pool but they have a swimming pond. They have a rec room. No workout fitness room. No onsite deli, but the town is minutes away. The grounds are well kept. No cable tv. No over air antenna. Yes they have Wifi but it is poor. Verizon cell service did work. Here is the bad. I do not believe this campground is designed for rigs bigger than 35 feet. The grass sites cannot handle the weight. Poor Wifi, and no cable. I would not come back.

For Skillet Creek Campground: Lovely campground. Owners are gracious and will take good care of you. They also have the best selection of rock climbing gear around. Close to everything yet secluded. We stayed a week in a travel trailer.
