For Hickory Hills Campground: Oh dear. Expensive and a haven for mosquitoes. We needed an overnight with hookups and this was the closest thing off the highway. Monday night of Memorial Day weekend. The dumpsters were overflowing and reeking. Half the electric posts were mis-wired - reversed polarity, no ground. Didn’t dare check out the bathrooms given the state of the dumpsters. But my spouse doesn’t drive and I needed to get off the road immediately if not sooner. Should have done some research first.

For Hickory Hills Campground: We stayed here over Labor Day weekend to go to the thresheree in Edgerton. The campground is worn and tired. The seasonal sites are nice. The daily sites are expensive and crowded. The campstore wasn't well stocked and the firewood was damp.

People were very friendly and staff tried to be helpful, but that only raises the rating two stars.

Lake isn't clean... green and foamy at beach. Nice for boating, not for swimming. Pool was cold.

Clubhouse was not well stocked, was being closed for season.

Will try the jelly stone next time.
