For Leon Valley Campground: Leon Valley campground is what I would call an “old school” campground. Remember the 70’s when you just kind of pulled your camper into a field and parked it however you felt like? Well, if you get the “North Pole” site, this is what to expect. We were literally in a field and it took a ton of blocking to level the camper. Dirt roads throughout the campground. Sites are scattered pretty much everywhere. It’s mowed and taken care of pretty well but po just not what I’d consider a “modern” campground. They do have 50amp service but during the peak of the hot day, I could only get about 110v. It was running a strong 120v in the morning however. Cell service is terrible/non-existent (Verizon) and the WiFi only works near the check in area. No signal at all at our campsite. We didn’t use the facilities much as we were only here for a night. The 10:30pm quiet time curfew was not enforced at all. Pretty noisy neighbors until at least midnight. I guess it was ok for an overnight off of I-90 but I’m not sure I’d make a vacation out of this place.
