For Sandy Beach - Glendo State Park: We left after arriving. The beach is about 50 feet (certainly not 2 miles) mosquitos everywhere, uneven spots. Lots of dogs unleashed and the spots are far (200 yards?) from the beach, which is full of red ants. If you can get into guernsey state park sandy beach (or sandy cove), do it. It’s a gazillion times better.

For Sandy Beach - Glendo State Park: We loved this park. Here are the things you need to know for the RV - no water or sewer but there are water filling stations available so we didn’t have a problem at all. We did the group camp area where there were 3 - 50 Amp hook ups. They were very spread out. We used Verizon for cell service and it was good for calls but zoom / web meetings would get choppy from time to time. There was an amazing beach that we really enjoyed. Great for making sand castles and just relaxing in the sun. The sun sets were beautiful. The nights would get cool (we were there in July) maybe down in the low 50s in the morning, around mid-80s in the afternoon but warm enough for the kids to go swimming. We didn’t see any wildlife but there isn’t any light pollution here and the stars are just breathtaking. We could see the Milky Way and the Neowise comet - it was simply wonderful. We were at the Sandy Beach park. There is plenty of room to ride bikes and it felt secluded and private. The campsites are 14 miles from the check-in point. I would absolutely return on our next trip through. Also, WY rest areas are SUPER RV friendly and most have dump stations so if there is a line leaving the park for the dump station, just swing by a rest area and you should be good.

For Sandy Beach - Glendo State Park: YUCK. Swampy. Buggy. LOTS of foxtail grass (very bad for dogs). Sites very crowded and right next to each other. YUCK. Had paid for a week but left after one night to get the heck out of there.
