For Poverty Point Reservoir State Park: Stayed in site 10, which is near a transformer. Those usually drive me nuts but it was far enough back that the trailer fan noises covered it up, but sitting at the picnic table you could hear it. Also lots of road noise, which I will take over a transformer any day! I drove by the cabins which are AMAZING looking. I also went to the Wild Heritage Site which was quite amazing. Vicksburg is only 45 minutes away with a national park and several museums. In the campground, I had 2 slow bars of Verizon and would not have been able to work without my booster.

For Poverty Point Reservoir State Park: If you are trying to make a reservation, reservations are made not at reserve america which is the link but rather LA State Park or 833-609-0686

For Poverty Point Reservoir State Park: Wow, what a nice and clean campground. Staff is very friendly. Wi-Fi and laundromat are an added bonus. Sites are fairly level and clean. This was a one night, last minute stay but wish we could stay longer. Nature trails have signage of Black Bear habitat, which we did not see any. Will definitely stay here again, if in the area.

For Poverty Point Reservoir State Park: This is a great and beautiful campground. Notice they charge you a $4.50 reservation fee even if you rent a camp site at the office, in person. They do not notify of this charge.

For Poverty Point Reservoir State Park: Excellent stay for 2 nights. All sites are spaced apart nicely. We reserved site 42 but changed to site 19 to get full hookup. Site 42 is beautiful but 19 was fine too. While here we visited Poverty Point World Heritage Site a few miles down the highway. Well worth the stop and would stay here again when we are in the area!

For Poverty Point Reservoir State Park: Stayed one night on 8/5/22. Nice facilities and and convenient from I-20. Full hookups were appreciated and everything worked fine. Shade is at a premium with most sites it appeared. The cabins are worth a look as they are on piers into the lake! Fish right from your back porch. Would stay again.
