For Saltwater State Park: Another overpriced Washington State campground. I particularly think an $8 reservation fee on a one night campground is ridiculous. Plus a $5 non resident fee so $45 for a gravel pad pushed into the blackberries and a picknic table. Note if you are a “walk up” it’s only $32 - makes no sense. Not much here besides a short stretch of shore and a short trail through the woods that is not very scenic. Lots of aircraft noise from SeaTac traffic which was expected. Only here to pick up a late arriving family member at the airport, otherwise plenty of nicer places an hour away in any direction. (Additional note sites 21 through 37, which are the nicer sites, marked closed due to road damage. But there doesn’t seem to be any repairs going on in the closed section)

For Saltwater State Park: Pretty much as advertised. Even state park reservationists will warn you about the overhead air traffic noise from SeaTac. It is noisy but not unbearable. Small campground with host and pay showers as all Washington Parks appear to be. Very high priced, not a good value for what you get. We paid $39.50 a night after additional fees for two nights dry camping with no electric no water and pay showers. The cost for camping is not worth it but it serves as a good base for access to Seattle.

For Saltwater State Park: They weren't kidding when they said under the airport. About two planes a minute and they are still low when they pass so they are loud. Good thing we plan on being in the city most of the day. Popped my head in the showers and there's mold growing on the wall and I could get enough water to get wet but the flow is a bit pathetic. There IS a coin op on the wall so maybe that's needed for full pressure. Either way there was enough orange mold on the wall I decided against bathing the kids there. We'll just use the water on our rig.

There WAS enough room for me to do a thee point turn in my 30ft class A but I had to unhook the tow car to do it. Site is OK for a campground this size but it is not level. One tire is four inches off the ground to get level.

Ok considering it's the height of the season and no where else that could act as a base for exploring Seattle had ANY openings.

For Saltwater State Park: We decided to stay at the saltwater State park because of its location to Seattle. We made reservations online and found our site within the campground by ourselves. There was not anyone at the entrance desk ( we never saw anyone at the desk the entire time we were camping). The park was as it was described on their website- no hookups, right by the airport, and right off of the sound. We only stayed 2 nights and we were in the city for the most of both days so we didn't use the facilities not explore the park but from what we did see, it was clean and upkept. The website states it can accommodate up to 50 feet but this is misleading. While they may have 1 or 2 sites at that length it should be stated that the campground is very small and navigating a large rig is very difficult. We have a 44 ft fifth wheel and parked in site 2 which was fairly easy( we took up the entire site). Getting out of the park was hard. There is little to no room to turn around.
