For Blue Ridge Falls RV Resort: Mike and Cheryl here. We have a 44 foot Class A RV. Here is my review of the campground at Riverbend RV Resort. Getting to the campground is a little challenge. Large motorhomes are not allowed on the hwy from Franklin to Lake Toxaway. We had to take Walnut Creek Road which is tight and twisty. Had to use both lanes many times. The roads in the campground are gravel and in good condition. Trees are all trimmed back so they do not hit the motorhome. The campground office was open and everyone were friendly. There is no camp store. There is a large area for parking while checking in. No fire pits so you need to bring your own. No firewood is available at the campground. Our site was 9, a back in site with a picnic table. Great view of the river. Our site was level. The site was dry. The site was gravel with a cement patio. The campground has a few seasonal folks which are mainly in a separate area. The bath house is basic. Laundry is basic looking. No pool. No recreational center. There is no restaurant on site, but the campground is close to town. No Cable TV service. Wifi was pretty good. Over air antenna only got one channel. No road noise to note. Our site was long and wide. Lots of room. The grounds were well maintained and looked nice. There is good spacing between each site. All the sites along the river are the best. I like site 2 a little better than 9. So why a 4 star. Here is why I gave it 4 stars. The people are very very nice. They do a group social at 1700 each day. They have social dinners or breakfast. They have a great meeting area with firepit and TV. If you like quiet campgrounds with a woodsy feel and a very social atmosphere, this is your place. We would come back. For Blue Ridge Falls RV Resort: Clean park, greenscape between most sites. Don’t know about the 5 o’clock food…didn’t attend but looked like most others liked the ringing of the bell…they would walk down with drinks in hand. No fires at sites, but we were told we could buy wood and use the common area fire ring. Long drive on arrival day: met with demand for cash or check for $280.00–no charge cards accepted. First we had heard of it. Lady manager swears she told us on the phone (nope). Dogs must be on leash - rules have changed a bit we were told. Didn’t tell us our campsite # until we arrived (sort of unusual) but it was a nice site. A bit of a challenge pulling out-on a blind curve and a hill. On the last day, lady manager stopped by to ask why we were leaving a day early (we paid for a week because it was a better deal but wanted to move on). She offered to “help out at the curve with traffic” — turns out she just meant the curve in the camp…not the main road where there was traffic. Just kind of weird. But all in all, clean camp to visit in a very beautiful area of NC.

For Blue Ridge Falls RV Resort: First off the one star is for the management of the park, the park it's self is great. This park is for regulars and if you have children stay away the management HATES children. We visited with our three grandchildren who are 7, 6, and 2. One of the managers Larry is the rudest individual we have met, treats the guests extremely rudely acts like he hand placed every rock in the park and if a child picks one up the world has ended! What 2 year old isn't going to pick up a rock and toss it in the creek! This was our second visit and after this will never return and will tell all our RV friends to stay away, if they don't want families with children make it an age restricted park

For Blue Ridge Falls RV Resort: What a wonderful little RV park. Stream, pond, friendly and peaceful. Laid back activities ; happy hour at 5 , pizza on Friday and corn hole on Saturday. When we were setting up people were stopping by to chat and remind us of happy hour at 5. We were there for 3 nights visiting our granddaughter decided we are coming back next year for a month. High altitude so it is nice and cool and expect a soft rain as it is in a temperate rain forest.

For Blue Ridge Falls RV Resort: Very nice, small, family-operated. Very helpful staff. Nice, compact layout of 24 sites. Each is well-landscaped, giving a homey feel & decent privacy separation between sites. Half of sites back up on active small creek, whose look & sound are relaxing. Other side of creek is open grassy RV storage that had only two RV’s during our visit. Social hour everyday at 5p (They ring a bell.) Twice a week they have simple meals cooked by staff at social hour. There are nice wood pavilions for socializing, with burning wood fireplace and large-screen TV. Bathhouse was very clean and fresh-smelling. Tricky, one-lane access - ask staff for assistance.

For Blue Ridge Falls RV Resort: Awesome little campground. Beautiful shaded and level sites. We checked in and they showed us to our site and helped us get settled. Concrete patio and full hookup including cable included. Creek at our rear. Off lease dog run for our furbaby. Laundry with $2 wash and dry(no need for change, just put your money in the jar). Bathrooms were a little dated but made up for that in cleanliness(even had lotions, hairdryer, shampoo). And the staff, that's the highlight of our stay. Soooo friendly. Happy hour at the gazebo everyday at 5pm and we were lucky enough to be treated to a campground dinner. St. Patty's day in October, $6 a person and more food than you could eat. We will definitely be back and stay at our same site #3.

Barb

For Blue Ridge Falls RV Resort: Our first RV trip and we hit the jackpot! Quiet, secluded, small RV park, filled with helpful, friendly people. The mgr. and host went out of their way to guide us through this first excursion. The bathroom/showers were clean and stocked with items to be used. The socials, the pot luck dinner, the Sunday morning get together for breakfast just added to the friendliness and welcome. We planned on 2 days, extended our stay and have booked a couple of weeks for next year. My hubby is looking forward to playing gollf with the other campers..they play every Wed.
Definetly a beautiful and great spot to stay.
