For KOA Holiday Starkville: There are no KOA signs on 82. In fact, there is no sign until you are ready to pull into the campground. Kind of scary as you turn onto County Lake Road and almost immediately see a sign that says no tractor trailers. Hmmm. The young man who checked us in was nice enough but he knew nothing about the park. They had been getting rain – lots of it - so there were pools of water in the gravel interior roads and some sites. The sites are gravel with a short concrete pad. The pad is more of a hindrance for larger RVs as you are half on it and half off. The sites are narrow and close together. Our site was barely long enough for the MH and toad. Plus, we had to dodge a car parked half in the road – literally inches from it. Lucky us, we had the only site with a tree with scraggly branches – which got a slight trimming or they would have damaged the MH. The “deluxe” sites just have a concrete patio with some extra furniture. Nothing special. Satellite is possible in some sites. They have cable but we didn’t try it. Verizon was 4g 1-2 bars. WiFi did not work. We couldn’t even connect to it. There is some background highway noise from 82 but other than that it was pretty quiet at night. The park has water slides and a pond/lake so I imagine it is overrun with kids in the summer. Not our kind of park.

For KOA Holiday Starkville: Great spot for stopping through. We were disappointed with the no lake situation as we had plans to fish. The staff was super sweet. Full hook-up sites and level pads. Not very busy during our stay.

For KOA Holiday Starkville: Check in late paper on reservation said cost $49.50 called to pay and lady wanted to charge us $68.00 off season. No water in lake and looks like it’s been empty for years. They have a nice pier and water park but no water, lake full of tall weeds. Nice quiet campsite but not worth the cost. Ad very misleading

For KOA Holiday Starkville: We were traveling through to the beach and stopped off here at around 10pm. Check in procedures for after hours check in were clearly labeled at the office. There was only one spot listed as available although we saw many sites open. My husband doesn’t like to camp side by side with others, but managed for 1 night. For the pull through spot, it was only around $45, so not too pricey. I think the price may be a reflection of the fact that the lake was completely drained. We would have stayed a couple of nights, had water activities been available, but as it is, we decided to get back on the road. Very pretty park and safe area, great for an overnight stay.

For KOA Holiday Starkville: Super nice people! The location is well off of the beaten path and that's a good thing. Very nice level sites, a little too close for my comfort, but really nice amenities, full hook ups with cable. We'll be coming back.
