For North Bootlegger - Lake Elwell USBR: If you have a big rig: the gravel road coming in is one of the best gravel roads we’ve driven on, so don’t let that stop you. There’s just a few places that would be level for a very large rig, turn right when you come in and keep going past the pit toilet, and past the handicap parking spot and park in the level grass on the left or right by the fire pits. There are two or three spots down there, they may not look level coming in, but that will be your best option, and it will be easy to back out and leave. We have a 44 ft fifth wheel and tried to pull in to the pull through that’s next to the pit toilet, don’t do this, the angles are too extreme and you will have a difficult time getting level. Beautiful night sky’s out here, it will be an easy in and out if you go to the right spots!

For North Bootlegger - Lake Elwell USBR: Stayed there overnight on our way to Glacier National Park 8/25/15. Friday night and we were the only camper there on this beautiful, huge lake. Plenty of room for our dog to run free and swim. No shade. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip out.
