For Amelia River - Fort Clinch State Park: Camped three nights Wed-Fri March 22-24, 2023; had three different campsites with last minute reservations. Lots of beach and water activities and can walk to Fort Clinch. Very shaded sites in the river campground vs the beach campground. Clean and comfortable restrooms/showers. Hiking and biking activities available.

For Amelia River - Fort Clinch State Park: Loved the site (30 on the end close to the beach). According to the locals, we were “lucky to secure a site” even in DEC. Super beach walk and wonderful road for bicycling, fun trails and, of course, the Fort. Prehistoric sharks teeth on the beach along w/pink coral. Quiet, clean restrooms and outdoor laundry. We would go again. Be aware that the paper mill is just southwest of the park, so if there’s a westerly wind, you will smell it.

For Amelia River - Fort Clinch State Park: Average state park .... 30amp water no sewer ... Sand shell sites ... low hanging limbs for 3 miles into park , be careful on height. Beautiful views of river and ocean.

For Amelia River - Fort Clinch State Park: Good paved roads on the way to the campground but just sand roads in the camping areas. We stayed on the river side of the park and it contained a newer looking shower house that was almost spotless! Really clean with several shower stalls. Washer and dryer cost $1.50 each. All the roads had old growth oak trees covered with moss. So many trees it was hard to see the stars at night. Several benches along the water. Verizon cell coverage went from 1x to 2 dots LTE. Not very good for surfing the net but text and voice was no problem of outside the motorhome. Very shady sites. No paved sites that I noticed. Glad I went but don't plan to return. Oh, there's a paper mill nearby and the constant noise was noticeable but wasn't heard inside the unit. It was windy but I could smell the paper mill. Not too bad but it's still a paper mill.
