For Lake Macatawa - Holland State Park: Just an OK campground. In a wooded setting. Most of the drive site are grass, sand or dirt. A few HC are paved. Very small sites and only a few feet between sites and the camper in the site behind us is only 5’ from our unit. No visual separation even though a wooded campground with tall pines. Very expensive for an out of date state park. $46 for a tiny site with just electric plus an additional $10 per day use permit. Yikes $56 at least they dont charge for dump and water fill up. Newly constructed restroom facilities and location to Holland and Lake Michigan are the pluses.

Wes

For Lake Macatawa - Holland State Park: Kids had fun. Nice warm water beach is within short walk. Crowded campground. Not much privacy. Clean showers. Two dump stations. Downtown Holland is great. The windmills are cool.

For Lake Macatawa - Holland State Park: Perfect time, perfect weather, perfect site location. Level lots, close to the beach and nice bike paths to the beach. Also close to other neat little towns. Love it!

Kris P

For Lake Macatawa - Holland State Park: Convenient location for beach without being right on the beach. Small beach on Lake Macatawa right across the street if you want to kayak or avoid trip down to the big lake. Busy park with lots of kids on bikes, etc. Trees hang low. No water or sewer on sites but convenient dump station. Perfect for close family/group camping. View from top of mountain is beautiful. Sunset at the beach on Lake Michigan is amazing!

WonderWhere2Wander

For Lake Macatawa - Holland State Park: Not bad separation between sites. Little tight getting into sites but I backed in our 35’ 5th being pulled by my long bed. There are no laundry facilities. We found some about 4 miles away. No WiFi. Ok coverage on T-Mobile.

Just a camper

For Lake Macatawa - Holland State Park: Busy and noisy. Otherwise nice state park. Two bars LTE. Showers clean and roomy.
