For Mississippi River - Trail of Tears State Park: The full hookup sites are relatively level and the host was very friendly and helpful, but that is about all that's good about these sites. The train traffic is a bit loud and startling at 2:00 AM and also during the day. The tracks are only about 60 feet from the back of our trailer. The sites are ridiculously close, like 2 feet. The camper next to us apparently does not understand which site is theirs which never makes for good relationships. That’s partly due to the site proximities so they just set up a tent where we were sitting in the shade. The bugs are ridiculous and persistent. We will not be back to this campground.

For Mississippi River - Trail of Tears State Park: This is a small campground. Full hook-ups on 4-9. Very level and good cell service. Park visitor center was closed so didn’t get to see it. Host was nice and helpful. The only thing between you and the Mississippi is a railroad track. Believe me when I tell you that track gets used a lot. Complete with horns day and night. It was a problem. Also, the barges on the river make some noise and they travel all the time. Nice little park except for the trains.

For Mississippi River - Trail of Tears State Park: I agree with others. We were lucky not to have campers on either side of us in the full hookups so our view of the Mississippi was unobstructed. Our sewer was at ground level so it worked out well. If we had not wanted full hookups a better site might be further in which are further apart and still have a view of the Mississippi which is why we came here. Our sit was 5. The camp host was helpful, friendly and a reservoir of information.

For Mississippi River - Trail of Tears State Park: Everything in other review is true. Park is very nice and well kept. Lots of trails varying in difficulty. Lake with sand beach you can swim or fish in. Right next to marina on Mississippi so if you have a boat and want to brave the river you can. Now the bad. Spots are tight or at least some where and on our spot the sewer stuck up about 4 inches so couldn’t easily utilize sewer hookup. Doesn’t like to flow uphill. Also very thick in cottonwood trees so just be aware around spring.

Mac

For Mississippi River - Trail of Tears State Park: Small campground with half a dozen full hook ups, some with electric. Full hook ups are back on and close together. Between the campsite and the river is a fence, active railway, and public boat launch. The full hook ups are right by the railroad. Also a crossing point so trains are required to blow their whistles any time of day or night. While setting up was eaten by mosquitoes or something that I did not feel at the time but later left alarming large red welts. Never had this from a mosquito before.
