For Lower Lake - Promised Land State Park: We love this park. We stayed twice. First time in the beechwood area in a pull through site and second time in Northwoods site 436 a back in site. If you are not familiar with the park be sure to book online a few days ahead as the sites are all mixed in the the one way roads are narrow. Beechwoods sites are mostly paved and level. Northwoods sites are quite unlevel and lots of tent sites mixed in so it’s hard to know what would work for you if you have a long trailer. The on line reservation system will know what sites would work for you. Clean well taken care of and privacy between campsites.

For Lower Lake - Promised Land State Park: Though we camp nation wide we are blessed to live 20 min from promise land state park. It’s are go to get away campground open all year as we enjoy winter camping here as well. Clean easy to reserve on line no check in if you reserve a few days before staying just go to your paid assigned site. Great Lakes during busy season there are so many campsites you can always find a spot. Super clean bathrooms and showers. WAter fill stations and dump stations electric on most sites. Winter sites are limited to 12 and dump station are closed durning winter freeze but bath and shower is warm and open

For Lower Lake - Promised Land State Park: This is a very convenient campground off of I-84. The lake is beautiful and early season mid week it was nearly empty. The sites can be fairly significantly off level. If you arrive after 6pm, you need to either do the honor camper program and provide cash or check -or wait to the next morning to pay. There is a web and 800number option but it assumes you know which site works best for you. I think it is better to find the site that works and pay before they close or pay the next morning.
