For West - Norris Dam State Park: We stayed two nights in October. Great weather and fall foliage was out in full. West campground is MUCH better than east. Very little shade in East, west is fine. Rest of review is for west camping area. If your rig is over 26’, find a spot on the inner ring. Outer ring has more shade and is next to woods. Table, grill, and fire ring are all down the hill from your camper. I thought this would bother me, but it was good. Bath house clean and well appointed. Will stay here again.

For West - Norris Dam State Park: Currently in the West Campground. 34’ travel trailer. Beautiful setting. Friendly staff. Our site is level and shaded. Bathrooms ate clean and well maintained. 25% discount for seniors. Yes, the road in is very curvy hilly. Take your time and you will be fine.

For West - Norris Dam State Park: I camped in a Class B. The park has an east and a west campground. The east is out in an open field with power lines above. No shade or privacy. If you have to stay there, sites 1-3 would be the best. The west campground has more shade and a little more privacy. The outer loop sites are small, but for the most part, level. Depending on the length of your RV the inner loop will have an incline (I saw some on 6" levelers in the front). The sites aren't too close but both loops allow you to easily see your neighbor’s picnic table. Outer loop sites 38-46 got a lot of pm sun. All 3 of the handicap spaces were in total sun. Site 28's picnic table would be at the back of your RV. The roads to both campgrounds are narrow and steep with several switchbacks. I can see longer vehicles having to cross the yellow line in order to keep from running off the road. Check in for both campgrounds is at the park office located on the west side. The swimming pool was large and looked clean (though it wasn’t open for the season yet) and there was plenty of parking. You must drive to everything in this park (exception -- if you are staying in the west campground, the west hiking trails are close). The newly remodeled bathroom (shower and toilet combined) was clean and well stocked. However, there was only 4 stalls. The OTA reception a very good with 3 main channels and numerous others like ION, MeTV, etc. The park personnel are very friendly and helpful so if you get there and don't like your site they are happy to switch you. The rangers patrol pretty often. If you find this review helpful, please repay by writing reviews for the parks you visit. Peace.

Midwest diva

For West - Norris Dam State Park: Long Curvy is road up off expressway if you're towing. Poor signage. VERY. Short and narrow parking flanked by cut trees and rail ties. None were anywhere level. Laundry was over a mile away.
There is apparently a GUN range nearby they shoot until 9PM.
Would not go back.
