For McKnight Park: Cute little park on the outskirts of town. I missed the turn on a dark rainy night and had to drive 8 miles south to a sizable intersection to turnaround. Several friendly locals stopped as I was letting them pass to see if I needed help and helped me identify a spot to turn around. $15 /night fee in a drop box. Great little quiet spot. I’d come back.

For McKnight Park: We didn't stay here but stopped in the park for a quick disc golf round. There are three fairly level sites and the cost was $6 for Winter and $8 for summer. There is electrical and water as well as a covered picnic table. The park is nice and has a playground and ball fields as well as the formentioned disc golf. A cheese factory is close by where you can buy fresh cheese. We stopped by on a the Saturday before Easter and the sites were all available. The train track in nearby and is run regulary. For the price though, this may be a future spot for us.

For McKnight Park: Tiny park with only 3 sites. $8/nt for elec/water. Covered picnic tables. Drop box for payments. Loved it here so stayed 3 nights. Quiet, except for trains but they weren’t bad. Would definitely stay again.

For McKnight Park: Five-star rating due to convenience and price. There’s a dropbox to pay on the honor system, and they ask $8/night. Water, electric, and nice covered picnic table at each of the three sites. We stopped here just for lunch and naptime because it was too hot to stop without AC. We put several bucks in the dropbox, and were grateful for such a nice place to take an extended break from driving. Don’t think there’s a dump station, but most Kansas rest areas on I-70 seem to have dumps, so it wouldn’t be a big deal. The town looked cute. We didn’t hear any trains during our time there and it was wonderfully quiet.

For McKnight Park: Only 3 actual sites with water/electric. Each have their own table, grill and shelter. For $8 a night, it can’t be beat. It’s a self pay/honor system at the park. We stayed beginning the Wednesday of Labor Day weekend and had the place to ourselves all but one night. Be warned you are less than 100 yards from the very busy train tracks so there’s that to deal with. But otherwise very little noise or traffic. It’s Alma...a tiny little town! Definitely visit the Alma Creamery. The fresh curds are a family favorite. The pizza place in town (Gambinos) is decent and there is a Mexican place gets good reviews from family that lives locally, but we did not get to try it. Also, no grocery in town. There’s a convenience store and a Dollar General but no real produce or fresh food available. This park is a good place to stay if you’re passing through or visiting family like we were. Will definitely stay again when back in the area.

For McKnight Park: Fee actually $8 but water and electricity in a flat site. The historical town of Alma is within easy walking distance and is complete with sidewalks among native stone houses. Pizza in town. Hope you like trains nearby.
