For The Outpost at The New River Gorge: An amazing campground!

For The Outpost at The New River Gorge: A former base for rafting adventures, this almost brand new campground was an unexpected surprise. The full hookup sites are gravel but this wasn’t a bad thing due to the amount of rain we had. No mud and they drained very quickly. Electric is very strong and the water pressure is great. Cell service (Verizon) isn’t great but not terrible and I didn’t try it but my kids say the Wi-Fi works really well. This place makes an excellent base camp for all the local adventures you’re looking to try. One word of caution is the driveway coming in. It’s VERY steep, immediately off the road so if you have a larger Class A or 5th Wheel, you might have an issue. It would not deter me from coming here again though. Overall, we had a great time.

For The Outpost at The New River Gorge: Had a very nice two day RV camping experience. New facilities including the nicest bathrooms I have seen anywhere. Hosts were extremely nice and helpful. Great location to explore our newest National Park. Beautiful area, easy to get to. Only negative is that the RV sites are a little close. We will definitely stay there again.
