For Flying J Travel Plaza: Sept 2019: We drove into the most northern end of the gravel parking area after dark (about 9:00 PM), and parked for the night on the far southwest edge of where all the commercial trucks were parked. This put us next to a fence along the parking area’s southwestern boundary, where the big rigs couldn’t fit right next to us. We didn’t leave our vehicle or contact anyone inside the truck stop office, but just quietly spent the night as unobtrusively as possible, and drove away the next morning. We noticed a couple of large rvs parking in with the big trucks, and wondered why they chose to do that, since it meant they were surrounded by big diesel engines running loudly all night. This wasn’t a great place to spend the night but it worked for us.

For Flying J Travel Plaza: Can you give no stars? Thought we'd just pull in for a quick break and some coffee - how bad can it be, right?
The gravel/dirt truck entrance was so full of hidden potholes, it knocked all of our drawers open and tossed things off the counters. We pulled through and kept driving with a sad glance at the worst rv park we've ever glimpsed. Do not stop here.

For Flying J Travel Plaza: We stopped expecting to stay one night but chose to go to the City Park in town instead. This is not a nice place. Noisy, dirty, and when we inquired about checking in they said most of the spots did not have everything working. The attendants at the truck stop were not friendly or helpful at all so we moved on.
