Yoga Travel Tip: Pass on food, drink your water

Airline food, when you can find it these days is not the best. We all know that. They are probably going to overcharge you for something that is not very good. So drink your water and avoid caffeine and alcoholic drinks.

Yoga Travel Tip: Do more good and less harm

Flying gives you opportunities to feel good and help others all around you. If you make your reservation by phone, try to be polite when you actually get to a real person on the other end.

You could always tip well to baggage handlers and other service people, but a compliment and a smile may be even better. Airport personnel mostly hear complaints all day and night. If you can find a compliment, share it right away. Smiling and saying thank you could make the difference in someone's day. Ask a struggling passenger or a flight attendant if you can help lift a big bag. Try not to act like you are stealing the bag away from them. Travelers are nervous people these days and you don't want to cause more harm or stress than doing nothing at all.

I am amazed at how much more enjoyable travel can be when you spend the time looking to brighten the day of others.
