Stayed here December 2017. Go past shooting range to the right. Sites were dispersed, some in developed area, some off dirt roads. Would definately stay here again. Don't know if it is pay to camp now but, if it is, that may be how the county is dealing with the homeless staying there.

*Free Primitive Camping Suspended as of 1/21/18* (reason for the 2 Stars)
We have loved staying here. We have been here for 6 days now in our 35 foot Class A motorhome. It is peaceful and quiet and has dispersed camping that most rigs can access. However, there are signs around the area that primitive camping will be suspended as of 1/21/18. We have read that in the future it will be revamped into a campground. It is a great place to stay - not far from the stores in Buckeye and a little less than an hour from Phoenix. Hopefully they turn this place into something even more great.

Got here just as the sun was setting. A little confusing how it works - rv's were scattered on a variety of ill-defined spots - but we reached an area that was SLIGHTLY more developed - pull outs for parking, fire pits, picnic tables under a shade - GREAT. Primitive - no water or electric - maybe some bathrooms somewhere - but worth a visit if you are phasing thru. Very quite and peaceful.

Savior of a spot after trying for the BLM land south east of here. Mostly paved. Beautiful location.

Super easy access to all camping spots. We have a 42 ft Fifth wheel and didnt have high expectations of finding a suitable spot but there were a few. We found a really nice spot at the end or a small road. So our closest neighbor was 1/4 mile away. Stayed her mid January 2016. Loved having semi paved roads to drive on.
