This is a beautiful location except for the inconsiderate employees at the Diablo electric plant. The noise these people make when leaving plant at 2;30am on is unbearable . Spoke with other campers there same complaint. Would recommend camping in the middle of 101 could be quieter and it won't cost $52/night. We left after one night having paid for 2 it was so bad. We should have suspected something when the host kept asking if we wanted to pay both nights up front as there is no refunds. Will never go back after camping here for 10yrs never been this bad

Great place. We came mid week in Dec and it was pretty open. First night we stayed down by the beach dry camping in large 5th wheel. Beautiful sunrise and view. Problem was the power plant employees drove by all night. Way to noisy for us. We like quiet and private. Will (one of the awesome camp hosts) told us that overflow parking up above. We checked it out and fell in love. It's just a dirt parking lot that's not level but very quiet and awesome view. Glad we found this spot. Will be back. (Heard that developers are going to turn this into a massive rv park for $140 a night stay in the summer. No thanks.) we paid 42 a night.
