Lake Point Campground

Stayed overnight in Sept. 2026. It is now called Lake Point Campground, and the check in people were friendly, bathrooms clean. We stopped in just before they closed at 6 and were welcomed in our class B, price was decent. We didn't need water or electric, but it was available. There is a small lake so there's some ambiance, but RVs are pretty packed in and some looked permanent (or for the season), some were passing through like us. It was a convenient stopover, but there is some highway noise. I'd stay again if I had to overnight in that area.

Context is everything here. We pulled in a 6pm just as they were closing and were welcomed, got a great pull through spot with hookups for our 45’ Rig and Truck right by the pond. Easy access, good spot, great for an overnight and to fill / dump our tanks, take a nice shower etc. We walked our dogs, chatted with some neighbors, seemed friendly enough. The place is older, lots of full time residents, a lap through the park will make that abundantly clear. If you’re looking for “resort” living, this probably isn’t it. If you’re popping through and need everything I described above for $50…look no further.

Well maintained and courteous staff. Nice large pond for catch and release fishing without license. Stayed 2 nights and had a site with the pond view in front of us. Close to all services. There is highway noise but not an issue in an RV and the reasonable price reflects the location. Would return.

Tent campers don’t stay here!!! Water at sites don’t work.(we were not told this and didn’t notice until all set up) To get to bathrooms you have to go around all the RVs.90% of people here live here full time! So many flies. Lots of road noise. Hate it here but tired. Will leave early

We were thankful to get a full hook up site for the night since it was 102. Our site was small for our 37 ft fifth wheel and truck, but we made it work. There is a lake/pond there that you can fish without a license. The water looked pretty stagnant to me. There were a lot of people that lived there. It was also VERY loud with the train and the highway. We probably won’t stay there again if we are in the area, but mainly because of the noise.

The campsite we were assigned was pleasantly situated on the lake. The bathrooms were a little old, but clean, and everything worked. The five stars: To make a long story short, we lost our cat here. After three days of searching, we gave up. But the management of this park did not. After six weeks, they caught the old boy, kept him safe and comfortable until we could pick him up and were almost as happy as we were at our reunion. Then they refused the $500 reward. I cannot say enough good things about Randy and his crew.

Not a good place for tent camping. Bathrooms are old and tired and you can get scalded in the shower if someone flushes. All the tent sites are on a pond that doesn’t smell so great if there is a breeze in your direction. Even worse, there are ducks that leave their droppings all over the tent sites! There is highway noise.

Some of the previous reviews sounded good, but our experience was not good! Park is full of permanent types with their assorted junk everywhere. Three dumpsters overflowing with garbage, very strong sewer smell at our camping spot. The place is basically built in a swamp. Very loud highway noise. Rundown operation. Would not stay again.

Very helpful office. Nice and quiet. Weak WiFi

Clean quiet and well cared for. Thick green grass, small dog park, trees and shade. Lanes and pull through heavily travelled so no mud or dust at all. Friendly helpful hostess. Perfect for a along the way overnight stop. Paid 37$. Nice small tent area as well. Nice hot showers and very clean bathrooms.
