This is one of the nicer military parks we’ve been to, and I’m told that it rarely ever fills up. It has 21 sites with 50/30 amp, water and sewer, and a huge area for tents. The sites are all grass and gravel, widely spaced, reasonably well-packed and level and set well back from the road, so backing in is no big issue. The only odd thing is the placement of the hookups, which are often on the right, entrance side of the rig rather than on the left. I’ll mention here that the water supply, while just fine for washing and such, has a bit of an unpleasant taste to it. But then we drink and cook with the bottled stuff anyway so, no biggie.
The laundry is small, but almost painfully clean. Two washers and two dryers, and a rather long folding table. No chairs inside, but no room for them anyway. $1.50 for the washers, $1.00 for the dryers. We didn’t do laundry here, so I can’t testify to how well they work.
The best thing I can say about this park is that it is quiet. It is far from the main gate and the highway, so no road noise. The airstrip is about a mile away but, since they fly Global Hawk drones out of here, even that is fairly quiet. And, the base is 20 miles west of the city of Grand Forks, which also reduces the noise.
They have a very nice, medium-sized BX and Commissary. Not huge, but well stocked. Sadly, no diesel at the Shoppette. Not a lot of dining options on base.
One interesting thing, they have one of the biggest dog parks I’ve seen yet. It’s about half a mile east of the park. It is a square about 220 feet on a side, a bit more than a full acre in area. Perhaps needless to say, our dog had a wonderful time exploring it.
The cost was very low. It was $25/night unless you have a “wounded warrior” pass. Then it’s only $21/night.
The park is seasonal, open from spring thaw through first frost, typically May through late October, though the laundry is winterized and closed on 1 October. But trust me, you wouldn’t want to winter over here anyway, this place has brutally cold winters.
The park is military only, since it’s on an active Air Force base, sorry. Entrance to the base is at the cargo gate during the week and the main gate on weekends and holidays.

Very clean and spacious park. Well maintained and quiet. Easy entrance through cargo gate, which is closed on weekends and in that case would use main gate. Dog park and walking trails are well done.

Nice, well kept state park with reasonable prices. Quiet and serene during quiet hours. Plenty of pull through sites with electric and water. Primitive camping available as well. 1 dumping station on site. Stayed 2 days and would definitely stay here again.

Nice place. The hookups are in a weird position on some sites. Way in back.
