This campground charges $45/night for an overnight site. When I got to my site, there was a large pile of tree branches and brush in the drive, which I had to move by hand in order to back in. There were also two, homemade levelers left in the site, which I also had to move to get in. By the cement pad, also littered with debris, were several cement pavers, mostly broken, and a filthy carpet square on the ground. The entire drive and dirt/sand around it is strewn with broken glass. They advertise a bathhouse, which is actually an old, cement block building with one exposed toilet and one exposed shower, separated by a partial wall. There is no toilet paper, nor even a holder for paper, no hand soap and no towels nor other courtesies. Overnighters are given a key to access, and the woman who checked me in advised that long term residents pay an additional $25/month for a key to the “bathhouseâ€. After I got backed in yesterday, I called the office and advised of the pile of brush that had been left there, thinking someone would come to remove it, but about 20 hours later it is still here. The rest of the campground for long term residents seems reasonably well kept, Although office hours are posted on the door, the door seems to remain locked all the time, and a buzzer to be rung, which may or may not be answered, not answered about 9:30 this morning, when I went to return the bathroom key and wanted to speak with someone about the state of my site, What a ripoff, and perhaps the discrimination against “transients†that one sometimes runs into in campgrounds,
