Absolutely beautiful place to camp. The sites are well laid out and large with views of the lake. Everything is so clean and tidy, and the bathrooms were exceptionally nice. We spent time on the trails, which were great. The petrified wood along the trail was amazing – I’ve never seen so much in one place.

Beautiful campsites with each one having a shelter with table and fire ring. stunning bathrooms best I've ever seen in a state Park. all campsites have a good view. plenty of back road drives with great views. Two very nice rangers and lovely lady who is the camp host. The camp map is not updated on the website, just fb messenger and they will promptly send a updated campsite map. We booked when we arrived via envelope method. there is a machine right at entrance.

***REMODELED AND GORGEOUS*** Nothing like old reviews. Awesome camp sites with lake views, covered picnic tables on sites, kayak-paddle board rentals. The bathrooms are almost too nice! This was the only state park site we stayed at on a 6 stop trip , all of the others were more expensive and supposedly nicer private spots, and this one was the best and such a nice suprise! Give it a try!

I have stayed at this campground one week for the past three years . I use to love this park. It was clean and organized. Now, people camp wherever they please including the restroom parking lot and on the service roads. Previously the camp hosts cleaned every site between campers, I have not seen the current hosts do any thing and there campsite is a mess. Restrooms haven’t been cleaned in three days. Some camp worker parked their pickup and utility trailer behind my campsite on the dried out grass for a day. Dogs run wild in the park, no leases used. Loud music is played. This feels more like a homeless camp site than a state park. Apparently, new campground manager. It’s a shame what is happening here

Wonderful little park by a nice lake. Has an interesting walk through the petrified wood areas and a nice visitor center. Sites are paved, good distance between sites, park is well maintained & clean. Some sites have electricity and water. Dump station just outside the park. Cell phone service from nearby is weak but operable.

Great hidden gem. Campground was full but we stayed in overflow parking by the lake on our campervan. Restrooms were nice and clean, great showers. Nice short (1.75 mi) trail to hike with lots of wildflowers, petrified wood snd great views. Wifi about avg for campgrounds. Would definitely stay again.
