I stayed the night of 5/11-12/26. The reservoir is down to maybe 10 acres of brackish looking water, and there is a work-camp of RV’s and heavy machinery there. The supe came over in the AM to check me out. Said that the dam washed out in 2023. Looks like the repairs should be done this year. Then the reservoir will be allowed to fill again. But will still be pretty blah country. My advice is keep heading west a little ways, then south on the Flaming Gorge scenic highway. Much prettier country!

Called the BLM office and they said this campground will be closed the rest of the year.

We stayed one night with our 24ft travel trailer. It was a Saturday, so not as deserted as we expected it to be. There were a few people fishing and kayaking in the reservoir when we arrived. Two other campers in the campground area. A couple more camped closer to the water’s edge. There are 5 campsites in the campground. All had picnic table, grill, and fire ring. Most sites were back-in, but we grabbed the largest site and we were able to pull through without unhitching. There is a Vault toilet. No water. Overall great place to camp.
