Sketching with lots of long timers. OHVs & 4x4 pickups race thru the rather tight cavern wash despite 15mph! Concerned about getting caught if fire broke out or a flood. At sunrise, I left.

Great spot, patrolled by park rangers and local sheriffs.
Gets a little crowded with lots of us snow birds in such a small area.

Not my favorite spot. CONSTANT traffic traveling in excessive speeds. Continual dust cloud. No respect for campers in area. Beautiful views spoiled by dust clouds. Will NOT return.

This is a beautiful area. I drove up about 3.5 miles and found a breathtaking view overlooking the valley and hills.
There were quite a few campers and trailers of all types - nice to see people enjoying the land.
There was a lot of trash - shame on people. I spent about an hour picking up spent shells, screws, broken glass, and some unmentionable things 🙄 -
This seems to be a popular ATV area - but everyone was respectful of others.
Great area - close to town. Spectacular views and hiking areas.

Still a beautiful place. There are all sorts of varieties of campers here. The first Mile is no camping and then it opens to a basin but the camping continues for several miles so don't stop here if you don't see what you like. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises and close to the Walmart end of town. Hiking is also good. There are quite a few four by fours but I did not see any going extremely fast. The host at the Basin takes photos of your camper to determine your 14 days maximum stay.

It's changed a lot since we were here a year ago. Busy. Side by sides / UTVs going up the road fast. Lots more dog poop everywhere. Garbage not packed out. Lots of car / van campers (people doing their business in the bushes, food leftovers in / around campfire rings, Hippies in buses playing bongos. People look like they have been here for a long time.

We enjoyed our 7 day stay at Craggy Wash BLM. The area is a bit difficult for some rigs, and even though we are only allowed to stay 14 days, there are people that stay all season. We parked on the side of the main road in, between 2 mountain slopes where I watched the sun come up.
