Sanger is the overflow camping for Cross Ranch State Park. We liked it because it was secluded and quiet. There are tent only sites along the river. RV sites are on the right as you drive in. We got our 30' class C in just fine with room for our unhitched tow. Electric 30 amp at the site. No water but water is available at the main camp. Pit toilet and water spigot available in Sanger. We filled up with water on the way in and made use of the dump on the way out, both located in the main camp. We drove to the main camp and used the shower facilities once during our stay. The showers were decent. Nice little museum at the main camp. You can hike along the Missouri where they have some Lewis and Clark informative signs. For daytrips we visited the L&C Interpretive Center in Washburn and Fort Abraham Lincoln (where they have Custer's restored home), just south of Bismarck. If you take a drive north from the park where it goes into a gravel road, you may see some Buffalo. Overall, a pleasant stay and I would book again. (This is from our stay in June 2025)

Access from north is on dirt roads, paved from south. Good spot for primitive camping next to Missouri River. Park at site # then short path to grass area with picnic table and fire pit with old grill. Only complaint is neighbor next door pitched their tent practically on my area #64. Double check size and area before booking.
