This was a delightful last-minute surprise campsite for us over the Feast of the Hunter’s Moon weekend. The RV campsites are nestled next to a beautifully maintained portion of the Indiana canal system built back in the early 1800s. There is also a very informative and fun Museum on the site along with a restored house from the period and an iron truss bridge over the canal. If you are a walker or a jogger, you will love running along the scenic canal towpath. The actual campsites are a little odd, one could almost call them haphazard in their layout, but we had plenty of space. That particular weekend anywhere near the town of Lafayette, campgrounds are usually jampacked, but there were only two RVs in the whole place the entire weekend, so privacy was not really an issue. If their small handful of campsites had been completely full, we might’ve felt on top of each other, but it’s hard to imagine when that situation might occur. The price back in 2023 was almost criminally cheap compared to most other campgrounds these days. That might have changed by now, but I somehow doubt it. If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet, and very unusual place to spend a weekend, we strongly recommend finding this lovely spot.

This is a small but well spaced apart campground. We stayed in site D and really enjoyed our overnight stay. Wish we could have stayed longer to explore the trails and the town. Camp Host Roger was fantastic! We had 30amp and water. Cell service was good. We have a 28’ motorhome.

My husband planned a mystery stop and what a delightful surprise. The park was so clean and friendly and the surrounding sightseeing was fabulous. Who knew that Erie Canal extended into this area. Great hiking trails and a beautiful historic downtown.

Great little campground right next to a great park. They have activities on the weekend along with cannel boat rides. They also have ten miles of bike/ hiking trails with a lot being right next to the cannel. Not very many sites but that makes it quite at night.

Beautiful, well-maintained park. Much was closed due to COVID, so I won’t rate based on the activities they offer. Campground is a little odd because there’s no separation from the rest of the park, so random people are always driving by/walking next to your site and staring at you. Cars would be constantly driving slowly around the camping area and then leaving. Kind of unnerving. Very empty and quiet, though. It would be nice if they put up posts on the trail so cars couldn’t drive on it and people would need to use the designated parking lots. Or a “campers vehicles only beyond this point” sign. It would add a little more privacy to the campground.

This is a lovely park of historical significance. Campground is peaceful with mostly grassy sites. FHU sites have gravel pads. Six sites have 30/50 amp electric. Half the tent/pop-up sites have 20 amp. Be sure to visit the award-winning museum (open 1-4 daily.) On weekends during the summer, ride the canal boat on the last navigable section of the Wabash & Erie Canal. There are miles of walking/cycling trails. Downtown Delphi has several nice restaurants, art galleries, restored working Opera House, shopping... all within walking distance.
