For Mendenhall Lake NF Campground: Love this campground. Spaces are deep, level and well spaced. The forest is beautiful. Several miles from the visitor’s center but great views of the glacier (what remains of it) nearby. Quiet except for the many helicopters during the day. You must reserve in advance, which kinda sucks. We had water and power. Both easy. In mid-august, lots of ripe blueberries at the campsite to pick. Yum!

For Mendenhall Lake NF Campground: Very nice sites.
This campground has gone to 100% reservation system. If you drive up, you have to call the 800 number to get a site or go on line and pick a site. First time we've seen this system. (May 2017)

For Mendenhall Lake NF Campground: Very nice, great location. The tent/car loop (no hookups) has HOT SHOWERS
