For Foscue Creek: This is a great park. There isn’t hardly a bad site in the park. The hosts keep it spotless, fire pits are cleaned, grills emptied, no garbage around. They clean up the sites practically before you are out of the park. Our only con was when you stay in the fall you hear leaf blowers from 8 Am to 6 PM. So there is no quiet morning or afternoon fire time. Which is understandable but was our drawback. Plus that they haven’t opened the laundry facilities yet. Being full timers that is important for us.

For Foscue Creek: Nice park!!! This was better than some private campgrounds we’ve been in at twice the price!

For Foscue Creek: Just wow, what a great park. I was a little leery as I was driving to the park due to road it’s located off of but man, I love this park. Our spot was right on the river, nice big spots, all of them, clean, nice walking trail, perfect fishing, you name it, just nice! Ann was the perfect host and set us up with the perfect spot.. am so glad we stopped here for the night.

For Foscue Creek: This is truly a jewel! Super nice park w/full hookups. Clean and very well maintained. Comes highly recommended. Plenty of shade and waterfront lots. You won’t be disappointed if you camp here. We have a 35’ motorhome w/tow.

For Foscue Creek: We really hate to do this for fear of too many people knowing about this treasure. We stayed here over the Christmas/New Year's holidays and really, really like it. So much that we have reservations for all of April. Nice, level sites. Right on the water. We didn't experience any noise other than an occasional barge passing on the river. Campfire rings, grills, tables, water/sewer/50amp. Couldn't ask for more. PS Had a problem with the RV and Gary knew immediately who to call. They did a great job too.

For Foscue Creek: This park has several pros and one con. First the pros. Spacious sites, many on the waterfront. Good roads, and FHU which is rare for a COE Park. That makes the price even better. Friendly staff and good facilities. Close to shopping and restaurants. The only con and the reason for four stars is the noise. There is a gravel yard operation on the riverfront just to the north and you can hear heavy equipment all day into the late evening. In addition, there are train tracks across from the park. If FHU is not one of your requirements, I would opt for Forkland COE campground, a COE Park about 10 miles north.

Foscue Park is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Arrived in the rain and the ranger booth was empty but a number indicated help was not far away. Sure enough after a short call a friendly volunteer arrived to check me in and give me much needed information about where to park, gate hours, etc.

Roads through the park where plenty wide enough for my 35' 5th wheel. Easy angled back in to a very level concrete pad. Power, water, septic all easy hookup. Everything was in really good condition. Beside the parking pad, pea gravel outdoor area with fire ring, lantern pole, aluminum picnic table and another really handy small wooden table. Nicely done. I did learn after a few days that the pea gravel would stick to your shoes and was easy to track into the coach. Next time I will try to park leaving some of the concrete pad right in front of the steps. Live and learn.

Our spot was overlooking the water with a wonderful view. There was adequate vegetation between sites to give good privacy. All in all, a very good start.

I did a considerable amount of bird watching and spotted a number of birds to check off in my book. Fished with a new found friend but we did not catch anything. The place seems geared around fishing and waterspouts so we may have just hit a slow time.

We were rather disappointed to learn that the laundry facilities were not functional. A Google search of the local town, Demopolis, indicated very low star ratings of the local laundry mats. We did however find a laundry mat not shown on Google maps on Hwy 80 at the eastern part of town with good machines that got the job done.

The park appears to have one dumpster location for the camp area and is a nice little hike from the park end, a little exercise is good anyway. We did not use the bath facilities but we did look and everything seemed pretty clean, so no worries if needed.

The various camp host rotated around and all were very friendly and helpful not only about the campground but different things in town.

The people in the town of Demopolis were all very friendly. Good conversation could be had in Walmart, the laundry mat, or the local tire store. Just a friendly town.

The camping was $13.00 per day with our America the Beautiful Senior Pass.

The only ding was the lack of operational laundry facilities. I would most definitely return.
