For Isaac Creek: Stayed October 9, 2019 in our 31 ft Freelander. Another great ACE campground. Wooded and open river view sites with water and electric hookups, level concrete pads with fire ring picnic table and free fire wood. With senior pass it was $12. for site 40 on the river. A little closer between sites than others but ok. It’s also a little far in so don’t think you have gone astray. My only issue was with Apple maps which was routing us across the river on a ferry coming south from Tuscaloosa. We chose to go a bit further south and come back up. Turns out the ferry no longer operates.

For Isaac Creek: Stayed here May 2019 site 37. I believe all have electric and water with nearby dump station. River frontage, well groomed lawn, friendly staff, abundant shade, clean facilities with laundry. Lock and Dam within very short distance. Plenty of locals fishing and enjoying the river. 2 boat ramps, play grounds, picnic area, trails. Seen couple alligators, so be wary and vigilant of your 4 legged fur babies. Biggest town .20 min Monroeville. Good cell service.

For Isaac Creek: June 12, 2016 motorcycle touring/tent camping. Large campsite along the Alabama River near the dam. We stayed at one of the premium sites along the east side of the lake. Well maintained grounds but talk of closing the unit. It would be a waste. There are campsites with boat docks on the creek side - east side- of the campground. These sites are heavily wooded with bathhouse centrally located. The creek empties into the lake side but heard that water level was low and made it a challenge to get through. Bathhouse we used was very clean. Grounds clean. Lock/Dam museum located near park entrance but we did not visit - forgot it was there and TripAdvisor did not show it. Short run to town worth the effort to see old courthouse and area where authors Truman Capote and Harper Lee (To Kill a Mocking Bird) grew up.
