For Gilbert RV Campground: Small park with easy access for our large unit. Exceptionally clean but pricy for the midwest. Friendly people in a quaint little village along the Buffalo River. Swimming, canoeing, hiking and the noisy rooster next door will make your stay memorable.

For Gilbert RV Campground: You'll be making your reservations over the phone with the owner Jim, who is accommodating and full of information about the area. We stayed five nights and were given one-night free, so while $55 per night seems high, it ended up being much less than that. And I highly recommend staying on several days because you'll want to take advantage of the location. First of all, Gilbert is a really cool place to get away (the town consists of the RV park, a post office, a general store, some cabin rentals and a canoe livery). Roads in and out are windy as expected, but easy enough to maneuver. The campground is small, but we found half of the sites accommodating to big rigs. Some are full hook up, some are not, but there is a dumpstation. No laundry facility, but there are bathrooms/showers. The owners Jim and Dawn maintain this rustic place quite well. Plus, you are walking distance to Buffalo River and a couple of outfitters. The owners will help you with that as well. It's a safe place and I would be comfortable leaving my RV there while floating the river for a few days. Closest grocery store as far as I know was in Marshall, but also Harrison which has more to offer in that regard.

For Gilbert RV Campground: A great place to take your RV and be comfortable close to the Buffalo River. Gilbert is a small town that sees a lot of floaters during the spring, summer and fall. Big gravel bar to play on within walking distance of the campground. The hosts are very accommodating and friendly and can arrange a shuttle, canoe rental, horseback ride, etc. in this wonderful setting. Clean facilities. Highly recommended!
