For Petit Jean State Park: Mike and Cheryl here. We have a 44 foot Class A RV. Here is my review of Petit Jean Campground. Getting to the campground is all on good roads but the road leading up is steep so be prepared. The roads in the campground are paved and in very good condition. Trees all seemed to be well trimmed. The office/visitor center was open and everyone were friendly. There is a camp store with very little basic supplies. The visitor center is new and has a large parking lot for RVs. They gave us a map and it was easy to follow to our site. Our site was site 16, a pull thru with a water view, fire pit, and picnic table. Our site was not level and required blocks. The site was dry and clean. The campground has no seasonal folks that we noticed. The bath house was OK. No club house or recreational center. There is a beautiful lodge with a restaurant. There is a pool but we never used it. No Laundry facilities. No hot tub. No cable and no Wifi. We had to use our Verizon phone as a hot spot. We did get some over the air TV channels. The campground was peaceful, except for the Canadian Geese. All the sites in Loop A were spaced nicely. Many had views of the lake. Our site was large. There was a nice view of the lake. Rain drains good from our sites as well as other sites. When we come back, I would stay at sites 30, 13, 28 or 19. Dream Big, Travel Far, Live Well..

For Petit Jean State Park: A spotless campground in a very scenic area with about 30 FHU sites and about 70 sites with electric and water access. Lots of hiking trails to the nearby caves and waterfalls. We booked a reservation for an electric and water only site and were able to move to a FHU site on arrival due to a large number of no-shows (Thanks to COVID-19) and accomplished some family social distancing at this great campground. All the FHU sites are level, well spaced out and positioned so that privacy is maximized. The water and electric only sites vary from quite un-level and short to level and long enough for a big class-A. Also, at the W/E sites the water spigots and electric are not always positioned in a great spot for hookups. We stayed in a 32' Class-C for three nights and had a wonderful time. We will definitely return.

For Petit Jean State Park: We stayed in the over flow area. It comes with power so not a bad deal and its cheaper. The weekends are busy so get a reservation if you want to stay some where else. Nice showers and hot a block a way walk from the over flow area. Great walks and nice water falls and bear caves. Great for biking and walking. Verizon and AT&T worked for us.
