For Tompkins Bend: Very clean campground. Gorgeous lake views and some great spots. Some (but minimal) leveling might be needed for the RV. Didn’t take much between the two spots I was in I’m a remote worker and needed to work part of the time here. Verizon generally was 1-2 bars which made it tough Starlink is ok if you place the dish near the shore. When I moved to a different spot away from the water I experienced a lot of disconnects. Water pressure wasn’t great, but doable. Spots are reasonable at $24.00 a night with water and power.

For Tompkins Bend: Arrived November 25 and plan to stay until December 5. Site in second loop from eastern end number 20. Just enough driveway for truck camper and truck. Paved asphalt one lane in loops. All outer sites have nice water view. This loop is next to boat ramp and mildly loud generator. No other RV's in this loop. The loops further west have a few rigs. With portable satellite antenna able to pick up eastern satellites. Park is in the trees. Good Verizon cell reception at my site with iPhone. Sites not evenly spaced might be tight for larger rigs. Showers have hot water but 4 per mens side and tight. Clean and well maintained. Park Rangers make daily rounds. One of three campgrounds on Lake Ouachita open. Farthest from Hot Springs. Lots to do in area. Keep Kayak on beach by site. Pay 11$ per night at checkin. No reservations this time of year here.

For Tompkins Bend: We arrived in mid October with no reservations, but had several sites to choose from. Stayed at site #58 Loop D, which had a water view and was fairly level. Had a little problem backing in because of trees across from the drive, but pulled out easily, so probably could have done a better job of backing in. Quiet campground, even though there we several other campers in the loop. Only thing I wasn't crazy about was the locals seem to have the habit of hanging a light from the trees inside a white 5 gal bucket for "street lights". No real objectionable, but I would have preferred darkness.
