For Rest Stop: Small, clean, nicely maintained rest area. No signs restricting overnight stays, but signs posted stating: “No pets allowed in rest area” and “No pets allowed on grass”. This seemed unusual for the rest areas in Montana, based on others visited recently. But the lawn was, in fact, totally (unusually) free of dog waste. There is another option for an overnight stay just a couple of minutes to the south. Immediately before the highway bridge crosses Dupuyer Creek and then enters the town of Dupuyer (immediately north of the highway bridge over the creek) turn right onto Jones Park Rd and drive about 1/4 mile to the small park, which has a very few small unimproved camping sites for a small fee.
