For Woody Mountain Campground: It was impossible for us to park with our 40' 5th wheel. They said the site will accommodate a 42' rv. We had to go to another park. So they kept our $180. We called and they said that they don't do refunds. Really? Are we missing something? We actually met another couple with a similar experience at Woody Mountain. We think it's time to put a stop to their greedy and unethical business practices!

Don

For Woody Mountain Campground: Made reservation for three nights. They charged one night to hold reservation which is normal. Checked in and paid the other two nights charge by credit card. Was given a site and headed to it. It was too short for 26’ motor home and towed car. It pitched both toward the front of the cab and sideways towards the passenger side. Went back to office to see about a better site and was sent back to look at 2 other sites. Neither was level and would not accommodate the car. It would have to be parked elsewhere, blocks away. They said they didn’t have anything else available. We had to go to another park and found a level site with ample length for the car. We were charged $157.55 for 3 days. They said their cancellation policy required 48 hours. They would only refund one day. In the end they refunded $38.81 also collecting a $10 cancellation fee and not refunding city and county taxes. Beware.

For Woody Mountain Campground: Beautiful location close to Arboretum. Tall pines. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Not crowded this time of year. They put us in a pull-through spot with plenty of room. It was a bit of a challenge to get level, and the sewer hookup SAS uphill when we did get level. We probably could have done better, but we were tired. Easy access, and not too far from downtown. This was our second visit here. We would go back. The train didn't bother us.

Edward

For Woody Mountain Campground: I want to say that for the most part the camp ground is very clean and nice. Nestled in the pines... Cool right? Our issues? We knew we were coming in late so we requested a pull through... We were told that’s what we were getting. We showed up at 9:45PM tired and ready to just go to bed to find we were moved to a back in. Ok fine. After backing into the slot in the dark we find that we are in the most uneven spot in the free world! After setting up the hookups I quit for the night. The next morning I finally was able to level it in the day light. Good luck trying to dump your tanks without some cardio. We also contacted them ahead of time for a late check out. No problem they said. We woke up on Sunday and called in. Yea... No. get out by 11:30... We also got a text early Sunday morning saying they had their famous breakfast burritos for sale. My girlfriend walked over to get us some shortly after. They had no idea what we were talking about as the kitchen was closed. One more thing. Super quiet! Except for the constant train noise. Needless to say I’m not sure we will be back.

For Woody Mountain Campground: We like being nestled in the pine trees at Woody Mountain. This well kept and neat campground is very close to town Flagstaff and an excellent home base to see Sedona, Grand Canyon, Sunset Crater NM and the lava flows, Wupatki NM and other ancient ruins. I have a feeling that it is under new ownership. There is free and very strong WIFI. They are planning on opening a small caf . Any and all types of camping from primitive to full hook up pull through. Laundry was clean and all machines worked. Bath House was old but clean with warm water. There is one playground. Campground was quiet and everyone on staff was pleasant and helpful. We had no problem with getting our packages from Amazon delivered and held for us.

Cookie

For Woody Mountain Campground: The woods surrounding are pretty but the camp is crowded and the bathroom facilities are pathetic. There are only two toilets for men, outdoor showers and it's muddy as well. Avoid the park!
